As the festive season approaches, FertiStream Vienna office has donated the Austrian Caritas Lerncafés project 13.000 € supporting children who require educational support. For the second consecutive year the company has chosen to replace traditional gifts with a charity donation made on behalf of our partners, in the spirit of the season.
Lerncafés, established in 2011, provide after-school learning support, meals, and a safe environment for children aged 6 to 15 from educationally disadvantaged families. Currently 74 cafés serve over 2,100 children, supported by more than 900 volunteers. Unfortunately, many children continue facing complex environments: difficulties in schoolwork, limited space at home, or language barriers. Lerncafés offer not just academic help but also a welcoming environment where children can grow, build confidence, and develop social skills. This project provides homework support, test preparation, and enrichment activities, while promoting social integration and teamwork among children from diverse backgrounds.
"I have been involved in the Lerncafés project since 2020 and, since 2022, have been jointly responsible for project implementation, staff, volunteer work, and content development. What I enjoy most is seeing the children thrive in a nurturing space where they can grow individually. Thank you for supporting equal opportunities in education," underlined Ms. Magi Hochwarter, B.Ed., Team Leader for Lerncafés in Vienna and Lower Austria.
FertiStream, representing more than 30 nationalities, believes in integrity, inclusion, and making a meaningful difference. This donation reflects the company commitment to supporting access to education and basic stability for vulnerable children, combining practical support with opportunities for personal growth.
